Nusa Stillness
Drawing inspiration from the relaxed atmosphere of Bali's island retreats, Nusa Stillness was conceived as a sanctuary from the pace of urban living. The design embraces a palette of warm timber tones, crisp white surfaces, natural linens, and woven rattan accents, creating an environment that feels both grounded and effortlessly light.
Throughout the home, materiality takes centre stage. Rather than relying on overt decorative gestures, the space derives its character from the interplay of textures and natural finishes. Soft layers of linen and rattan introduce warmth and tactility, while the restrained colour palette allows natural light to gently animate each room throughout the day.

The open-plan living, dining, and kitchen spaces form the social heart of the home. Designed to encourage connection while maintaining a sense of calm, these communal areas flow seamlessly into one another through a consistent material language. Timber elements are repeated across the space, establishing visual continuity and reinforcing the home's relaxed tropical character.
Anchoring the kitchen is a custom movable island that reflects the project's emphasis on flexibility and thoughtful living. More than a fixed feature, the island adapts to the changing rhythms of daily life, allowing additional preparation space when required or serving as a gathering point during social occasions. Topped with a thick-profile engineered wood surface, it introduces both warmth and durability, demonstrating how practicality and aesthetics can coexist harmoniously.
In the bedroom, the design language continues through a custom-crafted bedhead that extends seamlessly into an integrated side table. Finished in the same timber tone found throughout the home, the piece establishes a sense of continuity while lending the room a quiet architectural presence. The result is a space that feels cohesive, uncluttered, and inherently restful.
